چکیده

Abstract. Ecosystems in arid areas are fragile and easily disturbed by various natural human factors. As tracers widely exist nature, stable isotopes can be valuable for studying environmental change the water cycle. From 2015 to 2020, we took Shiyang River basin, which has highest utilization rate of resources most prominent contradiction use, as a typical demonstration basin establish improve isotope hydrology observation system. The data system classified type (precipitation, river water, lake groundwater, soil plant water). Six systems with main elements have been built. These include source region, oasis reservoir channel farmland ecological engineering construction salinization process region; meteorological hydrological also collected. We will gradually systems, increase sites, update set yearly. use these research continental hydrology, such surface evaporation loss, landscape cycle impact dam, dam retention time, irrigation methods, atmosphere, contribution inland circulation precipitation, climate transformation, below-cloud effect, extreme events, provides scientific basis environment restoration area. sets available at https://doi.org/10.17632/vhm44t74sy.1 (Zhu, 2022).

Impact of climate change on streamflow in the arid Shiyang River Basin of northwest China

Climate change may significantly affect the hydrological cycle and water resource management, especially in arid and semi-arid regions. In this paper, output from the Providing Regional Climates for Impacts Studies (PRECIS) regional climate model were used in conjunction with the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) to analyse the effects of climate change on streamflow of the Xiying and Zamu ...

Variations of water quality in the monitoring network of a tropical river

Rapid development and population growth have resulted in an ever-increasing level of water pollution in Malaysia. Therefore, this study was conducted to assess water quality of Selangor River in Malaysia. The data collected under the river water quality monitoring program by the Department of environment from 2005 to 2015 were used for statistical analyses. The local water quality indices were ...

Assessment of water quality in Blinaja River Basin (Kosovo) using the Canadian Water Quality Index (WQI)

Kosovo has limited natural water resources which should be well managed. This is recently realised through quantitative and qualitative monitoring of both surface and groundwater and by characterizing their quality according to their destination. In this paper, the Water Quality Index (WQI) developed by the Canadian Council of Environment Ministers (CCME WQI) was applied to evaluate the groundw...

Effect of different river water quality model concepts used for river basin management decisions.

n this research the applicability of two different water quality concepts, a QUAL2E-based and a RWQM1-based water quality model is evaluated in terms of management decisions. The Dender river in Belgium serves as a case study for the application of the methodology. By using sensitivity analysis on both model concepts the important processes are revealed. Further, the differences between the pre...
